NSW police charge woman with accessory to murder

A woman has been charged as part of an ongoing investigation into the alleged fatal stabbing of a teenager in Sydney’s west earlier this year.

About 2.50am on Saturday 4 June 2022, emergency services were called to Australis Drive, Ropes Crossing, following reports of a stabbing.

On arrival, officers attached to Mt Druitt Police Area Command found a 16-year-old boy suffering a stab wound.

Officers performed CPR until NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived; however, the boy died at the scene.

Detectives, assisted by State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, established Strike Force BOBR to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following extensive investigations, two search warrants were executed at homes on Pages Road, St Marys, and Jill Street, Marayong, about 6am Thursday 28 July 2022.

Two teenage boys – both aged 17 – were arrested at each home. A third teen – aged 16 – was arrested at Tregear a short time later.

Each of the teenage boys were charged with murder and remain before the courts.

Following further inquiries, about 9.10am today (Monday 8 August 2022), a 35-year-old woman was arrested at Mount Druitt Police Station where she was charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

She was refused bail to appear before Mount Druitt Local Court today.

Inquiries under Strike Force BOBR continue.
