NSW police investigate armed robbery at West Kempsey

Police are appealing for witnesses after an armed robbery on the state’s Mid North Coast overnight.

About 6.30pm (Sunday 11 August 2019), an 18-year-old delivery man attended a home on Mitchell Avenue, West Kempsey.

As he returned to his vehicle, three unknown males approached him and he was threatened with what’s described as a machete and a pole.

The group fled the scene through nearby bushland.

Mid North Coast Police District were called a short time later and commenced an investigation.

Police are looking for three men who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The first is described as being about 185cm tall, wearing a red and white hooded jumper and black cargo pants. It’s believed his face and hands were covered.

The second is described as being about 180cm tall, wearing a black hooded jumper and dark pants, with his face covered.

The third man is described as being dressed in dark clothing.

Police are urging anyone who may have noticed anything in the area at that time or who may have dash cam vision to contact Port Macquarie Police Station on 6583 0199 or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
