NSW police investigate reported child approach at Coolah

Police are appealing for public assistance following a reported child approach in the state’s Central West.

About 5.45pm on Monday (28 October 2019), three 12-year-old girls were walking along Booyamurra Street at Coolah when a utility stopped in front of them.

Police have been told the male driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, wound down the window and spoke to the girls.

They ignored the man and immediately reported the incident to their parents who notified police.

Officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District have commenced inquiries into the matter.

Police have released a description of a man they believe can assist with inquiries. He is described as being around 50-60, with fair skin, a full beard with no moustache, and at the time he was driving a blue 4WD dual-cab utility with a canopy on the back.
