NSW police investigating after man shot in leg at Dubbo

Police are investigating after a man was shot in the leg at a home in Dubbo last night.

Just before 11pm (Tuesday 23 November 2021), emergency services were called to a house on Baird Street, Dubbo, following a concern for welfare report.

A 34-year-old man was found inside the home with a gunshot wound to his leg, wound to his face and lacerations to his arms.

Police have been told two unknown people wearing face coverings entered the home and assaulted the man before fleeing the scene.

The man was treated on scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Dubbo Base Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Officers from Orana-Mid Western Police District established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into circumstances surrounding the incident.
