NSW police launch investigation into suspicious unit fire at Wagga Wagga

Police are appealing for information after a unit was destroyed by fire in Wagga Wagga overnight.

Just before midnight (Monday 4 April 2022), emergency services were called to a unit on Sherwood Place, Kooringal, following reports the building was on fire.

Upon arrival, four units were well alight. NSW Fire and Rescue attended and extinguished the blaze; however, the structures were destroyed.

No injuries have been reported.

Officers attached to Riverina Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the blaze.

Police are treating the fire as suspicious and are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and noticed suspicious activity to come forward.
