NSW police seek information over serious two-vehicle crash near Tweed Heads

Police are appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into a serious two-vehicle crash in the state’s north.

About 5.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 24 July 2019), emergency services were called to Kyogle Road at Dum Dum, about 40km south-west of Tweed Heads, following reports a Subaru Impreza sedan and a VW Golf sedan had crashed.

The driver of the Golf, a 23-year-old Burleigh Heads man, suffered serious leg injuries and was flown to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

The driver of the Subaru, a 77-year-old Uki woman, suffered internal injuries and was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

A crime scene was established and officers from the Crash Investigation Unit commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Investigators are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the crash to come forward.
