NSW police update: Pedestrian injured in crash now identified at Seven Hills

An earlier appeal for assistance to identify a woman who was critically injured after being struck by a car at Seven Hills has resulted in her being identified.

Emergency services were called to the Prospect Highway, near the intersection of Artillery Crescent, just after 1pm yesterday (Saturday 26 March 2022), after reports a woman was hit by a Toyota Rav 4.

She was treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital where she remains in a critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

The driver, a 74-year-old man, wasn’t injured but was taken to Blacktown Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command are investigating the circumstances of the crash.

Due to the identity of the woman being unknown police launched an appeal to help identify her.

Following this appeal police received information about the woman which confirmed she is 84 years old from a Seven Hills address.

Police would like to thank the media and public for their assistance.
