Emergency services responded to a report of a vehicle crashing into the Clyde riverbed near Erewhon Station Hut yesterday morning.
The crash was reported about 10am.
A nine-year-old boy has died following the crash.
Another person received moderate injuries and third person received minor injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit examined the scene.
