A woman is due to appear in court tomorrow charged after allegedly biting a police officer during her arrest at Auburn earlier today.
Officers from Auburn Police Area Command were called to a car rental business on Parramatta Road about 6.50am (Thursday 3 December 2020), responding to reports a woman was attempting to steal a vehicle.
Police found a 22-year-old woman in the driver’s seat of a V8 Commodore refusing to leave; when the woman was removed from the car she allegedly bit the right forearm of a 29-year-old male constable and kicked another officer in the leg.
The bitten officer has been taken to Auburn Hospital for treatment and a tetanus shot.
The woman was taken to Auburn Police Station where she has been charged with nine offences,
- Assault police – cause actual bodily harm
- Assault police (two counts)
- Resist police (three counts)
- Attempt steal motor vehicle (two counts)
- Enter enclosed land prescribed premises without lawful excuse.
She’s been refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court tomorrow (Friday 4 December 2020).
