Officer charged – Central Metropolitan Region 16 October, NSW

A police officer has been charged following an investigation into alleged misconduct.

In October 2019, officers from the Professional Standards Command commenced an investigation, following reports three women, known to the man, had been sexually touched on several occasions.

Following inquiries, a 37-year-old senior constable – attached to a command within the Central Metropolitan Region – was issued a Court Attendance Notice yesterday (Thursday 15 October 2020), for sexually touch another person without consent.

He is due to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 26 November 2020.

The officer is currently suspended from duty.
