Gang Crime Squad detectives have charged five people, including a senior member of the Lone Wolf Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, as part of an ongoing investigation into suspected drug dealing activities.

On Thursday 1 June 2023, five search warrants were executed in the suburbs of Spearwood, Palmyra, Yokine, Butler and Malaga in a coordinated effort to disrupt the emerging criminal network.

It will be alleged, a total of 2.1kg of methylamphetamine, 1.35kg of cocaine, steroids, cash, a firearm and 39 rounds of ammunition were seized during the searches.

Detectives also located a pill press designed to manufacture over 10,000 illicit drugs per day at a storage facility in Butler.

About 5.45pm on Wednesday 7 June 2023, detectives executed a sixth search warrant in Kiara at the residence of an associate of the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.

It will be alleged police located 35 grams of cocaine, a replica pistol, 20 rounds of ammunition, cannabis, dexamphetamine and a substantial quantity of steroids.

A 27-year-old Kiara man has been charged with:

1 x Possession of Prohibited Drugs with Intent to Sell or Supply (Cocaine)

1 x Unlicensed Person Possess Firearm/Ammunition

1 x Possessed a prohibited weapon

He is due to appear in the Midland Magistrates Court on Thursday, 7 July 2023.

A 27-year-old Palmyra man has been charged with

1 x Possessed a Trafficable Quantity of Methylamphetamine with Intent to sell or supply it to another

1 x Possess Firearm with Circumstances of Aggravation

1 x Unlicensed Person Possess Firearm/Ammunition

1 x Possession of a Prohibited Drug with Intent to Sell or Supply (Methylamphetamine)

1 x Possessed a Prohibited Weapon

He is next due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on Friday, 11 August 2023.

A 33-year-old Morley man has been charged with:

1 x Possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property

1 x Possession of Prohibited Drugs with Intent to Sell or Supply (Cocaine)

1 x Possession of a Prohibited Drug with Intent to Sell or Supply (Methylamphetamine)

He is next due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on Friday, 30 June 2023.

A 25-year-old Alkimos man has been charged with one count of Possessed Substance, Equipment or Instructions for Commercial Manufacture of Controlled Drugs. He is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on Friday, 30 June 2023.

A 26-year-old Yokine woman has been charged with one count of Possession of Prohibited Drugs with Intent to Sell or Supply (Cocaine). She is next due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on Friday, 30 June 2023.

Gang Crime Squad Officer in Charge, Detective Senior Sergeant Anthony Thompson said the operation had yielded positive results.

“Police have arrested several patched members and associates of the Lone Wolf Outlaw Motorcycle Gang; four of those people have been charged with serious drug and firearm offences. A fourth associate of the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang will also face the consequences of his offending,” Detective Senior Sergeant Thompson said.

“These arrests and subsequent seizures have significantly disrupted what we have identified as an emerging criminal network looking to establish a greater presence in the Perth metropolitan area.

“The seizure of a machine designed to manufacture over 10,000 illicit drugs per day is a step toward preventing harmful drugs from reaching the hands of those most vulnerable in our community.”

“The criminal activities of outlaw motorcycle gangs have no place in Western Australia and we will continue to arrest and charge those who wilfully choose to break the law.”
