Greyhound Racing NSW has announced today that one patron at Wentworth Park on Saturday night will have the chance to win the biggest prize ever offered on an Australian racetrack – $1 million.
On Saturday night the venue will host the world’s richest greyhound race, the TAB Million Dollar Chase Grand Final, with the winning greyhound earning their connections $1 million. But those connections may not be the only ones leaving the Glebe track as newly made millionaires.
“We know that the excitement and thrill of watching the best greyhounds in the country race for the biggest prize in the world is enough to entice people to the track,” Greyhound Racing NSW Chief Executive Officer Tony Mestrov said.
“But we wanted to make it irresistible for people. We wanted to add that something extra to attract people who might not normally have considered attending Wentworth Park, or who might regularly watch from home or their pub or club, to this Saturday come out to the track and experience what a tremendous night’s entertainment greyhound racing is.
“And this is the perfect night to head to Wentworth Park with numerous feature races, highlighted by the best of the best racing in the TAB Million Dollar Chase Grand Final.
“Back in 2019 on TAB Million Dollar Chase Grand Final night at Wentworth Park, we had an amazing crowd, the largest seen at a greyhound meeting in decades, and we want to better that this Saturday night.”
Everyone who buys a ticket to enter Wentworth Park on Saturday night has the opportunity to turn that $20 investment into $1 million.
Every ticket holder will go into a draw, and one lucky patron will be drawn to have a shot at winning $1 million. Even if they are unsuccessful in winning the big prize, that lucky patron will still walk out of Wentworth Park with $10,000.
