Operation Safe Speed results, South Australia

Five people lost their licence following a four day operation focusing on speeding.

Operation safe speed was a highly visible state-wide operation with the aim of reducing serious collisions on South Australian Roads. The operation ran from 16 June until 19 June and 913 people were detected speeding.

One of those caught speeding a man was detecting travelling at 113km/h in a 60km/s at 6.50pm on Tuesday 16 June on Grand Junction Road Wingfield.

Superintendent Bob Gray says “Its disappointing people chose to speed even after giving the public a warning of the road safety operation, those people who sped put the lives of all road users at risk.”
