Orange’s newest street names

Orange Council

Orange’s newest streets are called Brazier Road and Edye Circuit. Under state regulations (Section 162 of the Roads Act 1993) Orange City Concil is required to inform the community about new street names by placing an item on the council website.

To be a part of the new Honeyman Drive subdivision in Discovery Hill, Brazier Road will run south-westerly from Honeyman Drive through to Quinlan’s Run.

Brazier Road is named after a Mr Brazier who owned the Nubrygyn Inn in 1865, and was famously held up by the bushranger Ben Hall. The family has continued to contribute to the Orange area as pastoralists over the last 179 years.

Edye Circuit is a crescent shaped road way enclosing an area that starts and finishes off Torulosa Way, as part of the new subdivision development at 13-29 Torulosa Way.

This new development is adjacent to an existing park named Edye Park, the new road way will front approximately 70 metres of Edye Park.
