Bondi to Coogee walk

We’re just weeks out from the 7 Bridges Walk. Whether you’re joining us to take on the 28km on Sunday, 22 October, or just looking for a way to stay healthy on your next trip to explore beautiful Sydney, here are seven of our favourite walking tracks that suit all levels of fitness.

1. 7 Bridges Walk

This year we’re celebrating our 18th birthday, so take on the greatest walk of all and raise funds for a cancer free future. Use our map to explore the route which covers the Anzac Bridge, Iron Cove Bridge, the Gladesville Bridge, Tarban Creek Bridge, Fig Tree Bridge and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Don’t forget to visit the 7 Bridges Walk website to register.

2. Manly to Spit Bridge Walk

Explore the beauty of Sydney’s shoreline with the Manly to Spit Bridge Coastal walk. You’ll get the perfect mix of the harbour, bushland, and ocean views, along with ancient Aboriginal rock engravings and stunning mansions. The walk is 10km one way and takes about three to four hours to complete.

3. The Bay Run

The Bay Run is a 7km continuous circuit around Iron Cove that passes through Rozelle, Lilyfield, Haberfield, Five Dock and Drummoyne. A walk non-stop will take just over an hour and with its flat terrain, it’s great for families.

4. Bondi to Coogee Walk

This iconic walk takes in five beaches along Sydney’s eastern suburbs, starting with Bondi and ending at Coogee. Not only will you get sweeping vistas of the beaches, but the 6km track includes sandstone cliffs, rock pools, parks and if you’re lucky, dolphins. Don’t worry about packing food as there are various cafes along the way. The walk takes about two to three hours to complete.

5. Coastal Track, Royal National Park

The Coastal Track in the Royal National Park is 26km one way and it can be done either in one full day if you’re very fit, or over two days. Alternatively, you can simply do a portion. The route includes Instagram landmarks Wedding Cake Rock and Figure 8 Pools, as well as plenty of spots for whale watching.

The Grand Canyon track near Blackheath in the Blue Mountains meanders through stunning sandstone cliffs, waterfalls and creeks. The walk is a 6.3km loop and takes about three to four hours.

7. Bouddi Coastal Walk

Running from Putty Beach to MacMasters Beach, on the Central Coast, this 8km walk will have you whipping out your phone to capture the picturesque views of the beaches, clifftops and rainforests. It will take about 4.5 hours to do a return trip.
