Out-of-touch Rockliff’s plan for plan 17 February 2024

Tas Labor

What and where is Jeremy Rockliff’s plan for Tasmanians?

After 10 years in government, the Premier now claims the Liberals’ “2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s Future” will act on health, housing and energy prices – but he’s released nothing but the ‘plan’ title.

The Liberals have had 10 years to do something about skyrocketing power prices, a broken health system, a lack of affordable housing, a lack of childcare and an education system that is going backwards.

Now they expect Tasmanians to wait another six years for any kind of action on anything. Just how out of touch is Premier Rockliff?

Tasmanians are suffering right now and they need action right now, not in another six years.

They want a health system that meets their needs, they want access to safe and affordable housing, they want more childcare services and an effective education system, they want a Tasmanian price for Tasmanian power and they want a government that puts them first.

Tasmanian Labor’s top priority is addressing these issues to bring cost-of-living relief and services that work for all Tasmanians.

A Labor Government will cut and cap power prices for households, our record childcare commitment will expand services in 50 locations, we will take pressure off our major hospitals and begin repairing our health system by investing in our 18 district hospitals and regional and paramedic workforce.

After 10 years of the Liberals, it’s time for a better future. Labor’s plan will start delivering right away because that’s what Tasmanians deserve.
