Pedestrian hit by motorcycle at Canterbury, NSW

A woman has been seriously injured after being struck by a motorcycle in Sydney’s south west today.

About 10am (Sunday 23 August 2020), emergency services were called to Charles Street, Canterbury, after a 32-year-old woman was hit by a BMW motorcycle.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.

The rider, a 31-year-old man, sustained an ankle injury and was also taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for treatment and mandatory testing.

Officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit attended the scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam vision to come forward.
