Pedestrian injured in fail-to-stop crash in Cabramatta

Police are investigating after a woman was injured in a fail-to-stop crash at Cabramatta last night.

About 9.20pm (Wednesday 4 December 2019), a 30-year-old woman was struck by a northbound vehicle on the Hume Highway.

As a result, she suffered a compound fracture to her ankle.

Witnesses came to her assistance however the vehicle which struck her – only described as a white vehicle – did not stop.

Officers from Fairfield Police Area Command attended and commenced inquiries.

The woman was taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment to her non-life threatening injuries.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone in the area with dashcam footage that could assist the investigation, to come forward.
