Petitioning to Townsville City Council is easier than ever thanks to the launch of the new e-petition platform today.
The platform will streamline the process of petitioning and sharing existing petitions with the community.
Townsville City Council CEO Mike Chiodo said the e-petition platform is another step towards improving efficiency and transparency.
“Council has been implementing new systems and processes to ensure the community is getting the service they deserve and streamlining our petitioning system is another step forward,” Mr Chiodo said.
“An online platform will improve accessibility to any petitions currently with Council and allow residents to share it with their community more easily.
“Our previous petitioning system was completely manual but digitising it and providing an online platform makes the process more efficient for both residents and Council.
“Residents still wishing to submit a paper petition will be able to do so, we just wanted to make sure there was another option available.”
The e-petitions platform is available, along with Townsville Dashboards and Have Your Say Townsville, through Council’s website.
