Plan to do business easier in Queensland

The Palaszczuk Government is reducing red tape and costs to make it easier for Queensland’s small businesses to do business.

Minister for Employment and Small Business, Shannon Fentiman said the 2018 Better Regulation Taskforce (BRT) Report, Queensland Government Response and Action Plan tabled today, outlined a series of measures to make it easier for small businesses to grow in Queensland.

“We are home to a growing number of businesses and we want to support our 438,000 small businesses to continue to thrive,” Ms Fentiman said.

“With technology rapidly changing, a key focus of this report is to assist businesses in a digitally disrupted economy.

“The Response and Action Plan provides increased support and initiatives to make it faster, easier and more efficient to access information and services.”

“This includes securing over $60 million in funding for seven projects, which will reduce the administration burden on businesses and deliver massive time savings.

“We are projecting that combined, these projects will deliver more than $900 million over 10 years in benefits to business.”
