Come play and explore at the library during National Science Week. Australia’s annual science and technology festival.
On Saturday, 15 August 2026, Hurstville Library will host a series of fun workshops and activities. They’re for budding scientists and curious minds of all ages.
This year’s theme is “Seeds of Science: Nurturing Knowledge for All,” focuses on curiosity and the discovery of new scientific ideas. This program, part of the Inspiring Australia NSW initiative, brings the theme to life. It offers fun, hands-on experiences with plants, technology, and food!
There will be plenty of opportunities to play, explore and learn throughout the day. Some activities include:
Storytime Science: Tiny Wonders.
Sensational Succulents Workshop by Hort4Kidz.
Virtual Gardenscape with Nested Realities.
Tabletop Discoveries by Children’s Discovery.
