Echo Taskforce detectives are appealing for information and public assistance as part of their investigation into the drive-by shooting of a pastry shop in Reservoir last year.
Police were called after a person heard gunshots near the intersection of Cheddar Road and Broadway in Reservoir just after 12.30am on 12 July, 2020.
Attending police found bullet holes in the front window of the property.
A 52-year-old Reservoir man who was inside the property at the time was not injured.
It’s believed the weapon used was an assault rifle, with one of the shots fired subsequently travelling through and entering a neighbouring property.
Despite a significant investigation since the incident, no-one has been charged in relation to the matter.
Investigators believe the incident was targeted however are still looking to determine the motive for the shooting.
They are also looking at any connection between a number of other firearms incidents in the northern suburbs around the same time.
Detectives have today released CCTV of a car they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries, as well as an image of the semi-automatic rifle believed to have fired the shots.
They are also releasing a digital composite image of a male they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.
