Police appeal for public help: Attempted armed robbery in Bracken Ridge, QLD

Investigators are appealing for public assistance to identify the offender in an armed robbery of a business in Bracken Ridge earlier this month.

On Saturday March 12 around 8.50pm a man entered a liquor store located on the corner of Norris and Telegraph Roads, armed with a knife and demanded a male employee open the register.

The employee did not comply and the man stole a six-pack of liquor before dropping it and fleeing on foot to Enbrook Parkland, dumping some clothing and riding off on a bicycle.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, 165cm tall, medium build, in his 20’s. He was wearing a blue shirt tied around his face, a black hoodie with white branding on the chest, green camouflage pants, black skater shoes with distinctive stripes on the side and a white heel tab. He was observed to have a very broad, colloquial Australian accent.

Police are appealing for motorists, business and homeowners along Norris and Telegraph Roads and surrounds to check dashcam and CCTV between 8pm and 9.30pm and come forward with any sightings. Anonymous reports about the man’s identity can also be made.

A Caucasian man of medium build, 165cm in his 20s, wearing dark clothes is depicted.
