Police appeal to locate man missing from Granville 15 July

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Granville.

Alan Waneel, aged 86, was last seen outside a unit on Clyde Street, Granville, about 9.30am Tuesday 4 July 2023.

When he failed to return and was unable to be contacted, officers from Cumberland Police Area Command were notified on Friday (14 July 2023) and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Alan’s welfare due to his age and medical issues.

Alan is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, of a thin build, brown eyes and brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, grey pants and a white cap.

Alan is known to frequent the Granville, Merrylands and Guildford areas.

Anyone with information of his whereabouts is urged to contact Cumberland police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
