Police are responding to serious crash at Kimba, South Australia

Police are investigating a serious crash on the Eyre Peninsula overnight.

About 8.30pm Thursday 20 August emergency services were called to the Eyre Highway about 3km west of Kimba after a Ford sedan that had been travelling west left the road and rolled several times into a paddock.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 77-year-old man from Kimba, received serious injuries and was airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The car was towed from a scene.
