Police are responding to serious crash at Midland Highway and Leighlands Road Perth

Tasmania Police are currently investigating a crash that occurred at the intersection of Leighlands Road and Midlands Highway Perth that involved two vehicles. Investigations so far have determined that red small Holden sedan had attempted to turn right from Leighlands Road to travel North and a second vehicle a Grey Mazda Station wagon traveling south on Midland Highway has collided with the small red sedan.

There were three occupants in the Mazda including the driver and two occupants in the small red Holden. All parties were taken to the Launceston General Hospital for observations. A female passenger in the Mazda has sustained serious non-life threatening injuries.

Tasmania Police believe inattention played a role in the crash but the matter is still under investigation.

Tasmania Police at Launceston are requesting any witnesses to the crash to come forward and speak to Police.
