Police are responding to serious crash at Tugun, QLD

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious crash involving a power scooter and a sedan at Tugun overnight.

Initial investigations indicate about 11.30pm, a Toyota Camry sedan and a 250cc scooter collided at the intersection of Stewarts Road and the Pacific Motorway.

The scooter rider, a 45-year-old Tugun man, was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment of critical head injuries.

The sedan driver was not physically injured as a result of the crash.

Police are appealing to anyone with information or dash camera vision of the crash to come forward to assist with ongoing investigations.
