Police have arrested a man following three suspicious fires overnight.
The first occurred at an unoccupied premises on Springvale Road about 11.15pm.
No one was inside the building at the time, which was extensively damaged in the blaze.
The second and third both occurred on Doncaster Road in Doncaster a short time later where a fence and bushes were damaged.
Officers arrested the 41-year-old nearby in Balwyn North.
The man of no fixed address will now be interviewed by Boroondara Crime Investigation Unit detectives in relation to the fires.
