Police arrest man over Woodville North shooting, South Australia

A man was arrested this morning in connection with the shooting at Woodville North last week.

Police were called to Owen Street, Woodville North about 12.30pm on Thursday 21 January by reports of gunshots.

A 45-year-old man presented at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with gunshot wounds to the legs. He was transferred to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

This morning, Tuesday 26 January, detectives from Western District CIB arrested a 38-year-old Woodville Park man and charged him with attempt murder. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow, Wednesday 27 January.

Police wish to reassure the local community that this was not a random incident and the people involved are believed to be known to each other.
