Police arrest three after evading and ramming police in Warrnambool

Colac Crime Investigation Unit detectives arrested three people after a vehicle allegedly evaded police and rammed a police car in Warrnambool yesterday.

It is alleged a white Holden Commodore with stolen registration plates evaded police across Colac, Warrnambool and Port Fairy from 2.50am.

The vehicle attempted to ram a police car near a police station on the Princes Highway in Port Fairy just after 9am and then, just before 10am, rammed a police car nearby on Princes Highway.

No one was injured.

The vehicle was then located abandoned in a car park in Warrnambool and a man was arrested nearby.

Two other female occupants of the vehicle were also arrested in North Warrnambool.

A 20-year-old man has been charged and remanded with more than 50 charges including conduct endangering life, negligent driving and other traffic related offences.

He will appear at Warrnambool Magistrates’ Court at a later date.

Two women aged 23 and 24 were released pending further enquiries.
