Police charge five teens over stabbing – Macquarie Park

Five teens have been charged over an alleged stabbing in Macquarie Park yesterday.

Just before 5.30pm today (Sunday 11 June 2023), emergency services were called to a park in Herring Road, Macquarie Park, following reports of a brawl.

On arrival, officers from Ryde Police Area Command located a 14-year-old boy suffering a stab wound at a nearby railway station.

He was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

It’s alleged the injured boy was involved in a fight with a group of teens at the park before fleeing to the railway station where he was allegedly stabbed by one of the teens.

A crime scene was established at both locations, and investigation commenced into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following inquiries, five boys were arrested at Cherrybrook Train Station a short time later and conveyed to Ryde and Castle Hill Police Station.

The 15- and 13-year-old boys were charged with affray and possess prohibited drug and granted conditional bail to appear before Surry Hills Children’s Court on Monday 26 June 2023.

The 14-year-old and two 17-year-old boys were charged with affray and granted conditional bail to appear before Surry Hills Children’s Court on Monday 26 June 2023.
