About 1.50pm, Thursday 27 August 2026, police conducted a vehicle stop on a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee on Fitzgerald Street, Geraldton.
It will be alleged a subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in police locating and seizing more than 20 grams of methylamphetamine, as well as drug paraphernalia.
A 40-year-old woman from Geraldton was charged with:
• 16 x Offer to Sell or Supply a Prohibited Drug to Another
• 1 x Sold or Supplied, or Offered to Sell or Supply, a Trafficable Quantity of Methylamphetamine
• 1 x Possession of a Prohibited Drug with Intent to Sell or Supply (Methylamphetamine)
• 1 x Possession of Stolen or Unlawfully Obtained Property
• 1 x No Authority to Drive – Suspended
She is next due to appear before Geraldton Magistrates Court on 5 October 2026.
Further inquiries conducted by detectives following the vehicle search identified additional individuals allegedly involved in the sale and supply of illicit drugs in the Geraldton area.
A 37-year-old woman from Wonthella was subsequently charged with:
• 5 x Attempt to Possess Prohibited Drugs with Intent to Sell or Supply
• 1 x Possession of a Prohibited Drug with Intent to Sell or Supply (Methylamphetamine)
• 1 x No Authority to Drive – Suspended
She is next due to appear before Geraldton Magistrates Court on 17 September 2026.
About 5.55pm, Thursday 27 August 2026, officers executed a Misuse of Drugs Act search warrant at a hotel room on Broadhead Avenue, Tarcoola Beach.
During a search of the premises, officers allegedly recovered approximately 581 grams of methylamphetamine, 1,580 grams of cannabis, cash and various items consistent with the sale and supply of prohibited drugs.
A 31-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, both from Stratton, were each charged with:
• 1 x Possessed a Trafficable Quantity of Methylamphetamine with Intent to Sell or Supply it to Another
• 1 x Possession of Prohibited Drugs with Intent to Sell or Supply (Cannabis)
• 1 x Received, Possessed, Concealed, Disposed of or Dealt with Any Money or Other Property that is the Proceeds of an Offence
They are next due to appear before Geraldton Magistrates Court on 21 September 2026.
Detective Senior Sergeant Bruce McDonald, Geraldton Detectives Officer in Charge, said police would continue to proactively target those involved in the sale and supply of illicit drugs throughout the district.
“There is no place for illicit drugs in our community. This type of offending causes considerable harm to individuals, families and the wider community, and is often linked to other serious criminal behaviour.
“Our officers are committed to identifying, targeting and disrupting those involved in the sale and distribution of illicit drugs, and we will continue to undertake proactive operations aimed at keeping dangerous substances out of our communities.
