Homicide Squad detectives have today charged a 34-year-old Taylors Hill man with manslaughter following a lengthy investigation into an alleged altercation in Docklands last year.
It is alleged two men were involved in an altercation at the intersection of Navigation Drive and Collins Street Docklands on 1 March 2019 just after 9.30pm.
A 31-year-old St Kilda man sustained life-threatening injuries and was conveyed to hospital, however he died on 5 March 2019.
The parties were not known to each other.
The Taylors Hill man will appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this afternoon.
