Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a fatal collision in Heathmere on Saturday night.
It is alleged a Hyundai Kona wagon and a Toyota Hilux ute collided on the Princes Highway about 6.35pm on 2 November.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 78-year-old Portland woman, died at the scene.
The ute driver and his passenger, both 20-year-old French national males, were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives charged the driver with dangerous driving causing death yesterday.
He was bailed to appear at Warrnambool Magistrates’ Court today.
