Police have charged a man following an alleged assault in Fitzroy last month.
Following a public appeal, the 20-year-old man self-presented to a police station about 2.15am this morning, 2 December.
He was interviewed and charged with recklessly cause injury and discharge missile.
The Maribyrnong man was bailed to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 29 April, 2022.
The charges follow an incident in Fitzroy about 11pm on Thursday, 18 November.
A 25-year-old woman became involved in a verbal altercation with a man who allegedly threw a spray can towards her as she attempted to flee.
The woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
