Police charge man after indecent assault in workplace

Mirrabooka Detectives have charged a 50-year-old man as part of their ongoing investigation into the indecent assault of a female employee.

It is alleged during April 2021, the man who is the owner and manager of a pizza store in Joondanna, indecently assaulted a woman in her 20s who had started work on a trial basis for no pay. It is further alleged the man threated to ruin the victim’s reputation in the community if she reported the offences.

The man from Tapping has been charged with:-

• Two counts of Unlawful and Indecent Assault.

He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on 10 May 2021.
