Police have charged a man following a serious assault outside a supermarket in Hadfield back in June.
The alleged assault occurred at the corner of West Street and Guem Street just after 7.30pm on Saturday 29 June.
The victim, an 18-year-old Hadfield man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and suffered a broken jaw.
A 20-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested at a sho
pping centre in Preston yesterday.
He was interviewed and charged with intentionally cause serious injury and theft of motor vehicle.
He is expected to face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
