Police charge man with attempted murder, South Australia

A man will appear in court today charged with attempted murder following the investigation into a city stabbing last month.

About 1am Sunday 30 January, police and paramedics were called to Blyth Street after a man was found seriously injured.

A 22-year-old man from Lightsview had sustained stab wounds to the chest and was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with life threatening injuries.

Police believe that the stabbing incident occurred in Clubhouse Lane.

Last night, Police from Operation Meld arrested a 19-year-old man from Kilburn in relation the incident and charged him with attempted murder. He was refused bail to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
