Police charge man with high range drink driving 22 January

A 54 year old man has been charged with high range drink driving and been immediately disqualified for 12 months after being detected on the West Coast today.

Police were on patrol in the Pieman Road area west of Tullah when they intercepted a Green 4WD about 1pm today.

The driver of the vehicle underwent a breath test which returned a high reading.

He was subsequently conveyed to Rosebery Police Station where he underwent a breath analysis and returned a reading of 0.252.

The man was served with a road safety disqualification notice and immediately disqualified for a period of 12 months.

He was charged with drink driving offences and bailed to appear in court at a later date.
