Police charge three after search finds commercial quantity of drugs

Melbourne Divisional Response Unit detectives have charged three people and seized drugs and other items following an investigation into commercial drug trafficking.

Search warrants were executed at addresses in Fairfield, Templestowe and Abbotsford this morning.

Detectives subsequently seized various quantities of drugs including ecstasy, MDMA, Ketamine, LSD, hallucinogens, and cannabis, along with cash and other items believed to be proceeds of crime.

The drugs have an estimated street value of over $67000.

A 36-year-old man from Templestowe has been charged with 14 charges, including traffick a commercial quantity ecstasy, traffick MDMA, traffick LSD, traffick ketamine, traffick cocaine, possess hallucinogens, possess cannabis and deal proceeds of crime.

He has been remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

A 36-year-old man also from Templestowe has been charged with traffick cannabis, possess cannabis, possess ecstasy, possess hallucinogen and deal proceeds of crime.

A 36-year-old woman from Fairfield has been charged with possess cocaine, possess ketamine and possess cannabis.

Both have been bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 1 June.
