Two women have been charged with affray following an incident on the Northern Beaches last week.
Police have been told two women were having a discussion on an online group chat on Tuesday (28 January 2020), before agreeing to meet in person to discuss the matter further.
About 8.10pm the same day, the women met at Brookvale and shortly after it is alleged a physical fight ensued.
Two other women from the group chat had also attended the location and attempted to separate the pair.
Police and NSW Ambulance paramedics attended the location before the women were taken to Northern Beaches Hospital.
The older woman was treated for a head and shoulder injury, and a cut to her arm, while the younger woman was treated for a sore shoulder and other non-life-threatening injuries.
Both have since been released from hospital.
Yesterday (Sunday 2 February 2020), officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command charged two women – aged 33 and 36 – with affray.
They were issued with Court Attendance Notices and are due to appear in Manly Local Court in Wednesday 25 March 2020.
