Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a woman following a fatal crash in Diggers Rest last year.
The 23-year-old woman has been charged with one count of culpable driving causing death.
The charges following a crash on Plumpton Road where it appears the driver of the car lost control and crashed into a power pole on 25 September shortly before midnight.
A 22-year-old Hillside woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, died at the scene.
The Sydenham woman has been bailed to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday 11 July.
