Police charge woman over assault in Greenacre

A woman will appear in court today charged after an alleged assault in Sydney’s west yesterday.

Police were told about 8pm (Sunday 19 June 2022), two groups of people attended a carpark on Roberts Road, Greenacre, and became involved in an altercation.

A woman, allegedly armed with a knife, threatened two men before she was pushed to the ground by one of the men.

She left the scene in a black Mercedes.

Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation into the incident.

Following inquiries, police attended a home on Catherine Street, Punchbowl, and arrested a 23-year-old woman.

She was taken to Auburn Police Station and charged with common assault (DV) and armed with intent commit indictable offence.

The Punchbowl woman was refused bail to appear in Burwood Local Court today.
