Police investigate armed robbery at Toowoomba

Toowoomba detectives are appealing for information after the robbery of a convenience store in East Toowoomba last night January 6.

It is alleged around 9:35pm a man entered the store on Cohoe Street, produced a knife and demanded cash and cigarettes.

The 19-year-old male attendant handed over a sum of money and cigarettes.

The man then fled the store on foot.

The male employee was not physically injured.

The man was wearing a black hoodie, navy long pants with stripes down side, and a beanie covering his face.

CCTV footage is unavailable at this time.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have further information to contact police.
