Police investigate Campbellfield fire

Police and emergency services responded to reports of a fire in Campbellfield this morning.

The fire broke out at a commercial factory on Thornycroft Street about 12.15am.

Crews from Fire Rescue Victoria took about an hour to extinguish the fire which caused extensive damage to the building.

The exact cause is yet to be determined however police are treating the blaze as suspicious.

A crime scene has been established and Arson investigators will attend the scene this morning to determine the exact cause.
