Police investigate deceptions in north-west

Police from Heidelberg are investigating a number of deceptions that occurred in October last year.

Investigators have been told a man presented at a number of banks between 13 and 17 October and withdrew large sums of cash on each occasion.

The first occurred on 13 October at a bank in Epping about 1.05pm where the man withdrew a large amount of cash when he purported to be the victim.

The second and subsequent offences occurred on;

Sunday 14 October at a bank inside a shopping centre on Rosamond Road about 12.20pm.

Monday 15 October at a bank in Heidelberg about 2.30pm.

Tuesday 16 October at a Prahran bank about 2.05pm.

The last offence occurred at the same bank in Heidelberg on Wednesday 17 October when the offender withdrew cash on two separate occasions about 3.45pm.

Police have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is perceived as Caucasian in appearance and was wearing a blue long sleeved shirt, shorts and had a white baseball cap on.
