Police investigate Lalor aggravated carjacking

Police are appealing for information following an aggravated carjacking in Lalor last night.

Officers have been told two men in a Nissan X-Trail approached a man in Maguire Street, about 9pm and threatened him with a firearm.

The victim, a 41-year-old Lalor man, fled the scene in his vehicle the offenders fired a shot from the Nissan into the victim’s vehicle in Blessington Parade.

The victim’s vehicle subsequently collided into a residential fence in Donovan Street before the victim managed to flee.

Shortly later, three people approached a man sitting in a silver Skoda sedan in Carney Street, Lalor.

The trio threatened the 28-year-old Lalor man with a firearm before an altercation took place between the victim and offenders.

The three offenders then fled the scene in the victims Skoda sedan.

There were no reported injuries to both victims during the incidents.

Mill Park Serious Crime Taskforce Detectives are investigating, and no arrests have been made at this stage.
