Police investigate theft and deception

Police are investigating after a stolen credit card was used to purchase cigarettes in Melbourne’s CBD last month.

Monash Vehicle Crime Team have been told the credit card was stolen from a vehicle parked in George Street, Ashwood sometime between midnight and 8am on 21 July.

The card was then used at a Bourke Street convenience store about 8.30am on 21 July.

A male is seen on the stores CCTV purchasing a packet of cigarettes in the company of three other males.

Detectives have released images of four men they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
