Police investigate theft of bag from Geelong court

Geelong police are investigating after a handbag was stolen from a court in Railway Terrace, Geelong last month.

Investigators have been told the victim left her handbag on a seat within the ground level waiting area about 10am on 12 August.

The victim returned at 11am to find the black Mimco bag and its contents including a rose gold Samsung mobile phone, black Mimco wallet, cash and various credit cards, had been stolen.

Investigators have released images of a woman who they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

The woman is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, medium build, about 160cm tall and wearing a pink top with a black coat, black leggings, colour shoes and carrying a black backpack.
