Police investigate theft of Range Rover

Melbourne West police are are appealing for public assistance to help identify a man following a theft of a Range Rover in Melbourne CBD last month.

Investigators believe a white Range Rover was stolen from Market Street around 4.30am on 15 June.

Just before 5.00am, the same morning, an unknown man was seen refuelling the stolen Range Rover at a petrol station in Punt Road.

The man attempted to pay with a credit card, but the card was declined. Enquiries in relation to the credit card are ongoing.

Police recovered the Range Rover on Heath Street, Pascoe Vale on 25 June.

Investigators have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is described as 30-40 years old, having a medium build, of medium height and perceived to be Mediterranean in appearance.

He was wearing an Adidas baseball cap, Ellesse hoodie, track pants and black running shoes..
